The opening is citrusy, zesty, and a little lemon-like. From there, you get woodiness, spice, and a faint green nuance. I also pick up traces of incense and a touch of leather, though the leather never becomes as pronounced as it does in the scent it is inspired by.
As it dries down, it gets sweeter, creamier, and more woody, with that smooth masculine character that makes Bleu de Chanel fragrances so easy to wear. It does not copy the original perfectly, but it captures the mood very well.
That makes Nocturno Elixir a very wearable modern masculine fragrance. It is polished, versatile, and familiar in a good way.
